GOAL Jersey Day
Enormous thanks to everyone who took part in 2011’s fun-filled GOAL Jersey Day, when, once again, thousands of schoolchildren and people in offices, shops and clubs nationwide wore their favourite jersey to school or work for the day, and made a contribution towards GOAL. This year Jersey Day will be held on October 5th.
Some of the hundreds of participating schools this year included St. Bernard's National School, Abbeylara, Co. Longford - where every single pupil took part - and Scoil Mhuire, Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare, where the boys and girls of sixth class designed their own posters to let people in the area know when GOAL Jersey Day was taking place. All monies raised on GOAL Jersey Day will, as always, be spent on the poorest of the poor in the developing world. Each and every donation makes a difference to people’s lives. We hope you enjoyed the day – and thanks again for your magnificent support.
