Livelihood Development
As part of our Livelihoods programmes in Malawi, GOAL is working to increase the ability of communities and local health institutions to identify, treat, and decrease the incidence of underweight children.
We have established new irrigation sites to enhance food production, and thereby improve general food security.
We retrain vulnerable groups and their carers, to enable them to generate alternative incomes from vocational businesses.
We are improving public access to water, by renovating non-functioning water points; constructing latrines; and training communities in water-point maintenance and management.
