Nutrition
GOAL has established a Rapid Response Emergency Team (RRET) in Ethiopia to conduct emergency nutrition surveys and health assessments in areas of concern and newly emerging “hotspots” suffering the consequences of famine and drought.
The RRET initiates extensive supplementary and therapeutic feeding interventions as required, and provides community-based therapeutic care.
GOAL also trains local health authorities and community organisations in all aspects of nutrition, including surveillance and health monitoring.
