Working with GOAL: FAQs
What kind of jobs does GOAL usually recruit for?Typical vacancies include, but are not limited to:
• Support Staff (accountants, logisticians etc.)
• Senior Managers (programme managers, emergency co-ordinators, country directors etc.)
• Technical Staff (nutritionists, engineers, doctors, nurses, midwives, and livelihoods specialists)
What are the basic requirements you need?
• A minimum of two years post qualification work experience.
• Prior experience with a humanitarian organisation is preferred, but not essential for all posts.
• You need to be a team player with a 'can do attitude'
• You must be willing to cope with demanding conditions, and be resourceful and adaptable.
What does GOAL offer?
• One year contracts, with the possibility for extension in many cases.
• Annual return air fares, suitable accommodation (normally shared), in-country food/living allowance and travel insurance.
• A resettlement grant for first-time volunteers
• A salary commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post, and level of experience, for experienced personnel
