Angola’s 27-year civil war ended in 2002 having devastated
the country’s infrastructure. Government support for social
institutions remains inadequate and many hospitals are without medicines
or basic equipment.
GOAL’s programme focuses on reproductive health, health education,
malaria control and establishing community health action groups
and voluntary counselling and testing clinics for people affected
by HIV/AIDS.
