annual fundraisers held each year providing GOAL with much
needed seed capital that allows GOAL access larger sums from
governments and

Galway and Roscommon GAA
fans bookmarking
their support for GOAL

GAA fans and people from Roscommon
and Galway can enjoy their reading time with a bookmark in their
county colours, while supporting GOAL at the same time. The initiative,
headed again by GOAL supporter John Boyle, is already proving to
be a great success. Each bookmark is dressed in the county colours
and includes the county crest and selected GOAL and relevant GAA
images.
The bookmarks are selling
for €2 each and anyone interested in purchasing one or more
- and supporting GOAL's work in the developing world - can order

Dublin's Hard Rock
Cafe hosted four live charity music gigs on Thursday nights throughout
March, with all money going towards GOAL's response in Haiti. Staff
members are pictured above presenting a cheque for €1,900 to
GOAL's Lisa O'Shea

calls to your home or business asking for a donation to GOAL,
please do not give them anything. As a policy, GOAL does not raise
funds on a door-to-door basis.

Run the Galway City Marathon for GOAL
The Galway City Marathon takes place around
the streets of Galway on Sunday, August 29th, and you can run
the 26 miles (and a bit!) for GOAL and help support our work in
the developing world.
Organised by Galway brothers Paul and Richard
Donovan, the event is part of a run and fun festival weekend in
the west and is sure to attract huge interest amongst both serious
and fun runners.

Art lovers take note
In celebration of
the renowned collection of modern and contemporary art at
Kelly's Resort Hotel, Rosslare, the Kelly family have produced
a 200-page colour book titled 'For The Love Of Art –
The Kelly Collection'.
The book is available
to purchase
at www.kellys.ie and
from all Avoca stores.
All earnings from
the sale of this publication will go to GOAL.

The Dower House gardens open in aid of
GOAL
|
The wonderful
gardens at The Dower House, Rossanagh, Ashford, Co. Wicklow
are opening to the public during the months of June and
July for the County Wicklow Gardens Festival.
Once again, the gardens are sure to attract visitors keen
to enjoy a lazy afternoon enjoying the flowers, blossom
and foliage of what is regarded as one of Wicklow's finest
gardens, and supporting the work of GOAL in the developing
world in the process.
The gardens are open on Bank Holidays during June and July
from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., every Sunday during June (also
from 2.30 p.m. to 5 p.m.) and at other times during these
two months by appointment.
Admission is just €5 per person.

Liam reaches his GOAL and raises
€762.20 for Haiti Appeal

Six year-old Liam Kervick from Maypark
Lane, Waterford, promised to do a sponsored walk for Haiti after
seeing the earthquake disaster on the news. Good to his word,
Liam completed a distance of five kilometres recently and raised
an amazing €762.20. Liam would like to thank everyone who
donated money and supported or walked with him on the day.

GOALie Ian Watson, who spent time
working in Haiti for GOAL earlier this year, with Flesk Gun Club
in Killarney, who recently donated €500 to GOAL's Haiti response
