Thank-you to all those fitness enthusiasts who participated in the hugely successful 13th annual Ballintubber GOAL Walk for Haiti, which has raised over €44,000 for our relief efforts in the crisis-hit country to date.

At least 300 participants took part on Sunday, January 24th, following the postponement of the Walk from St. Stephen's Day due to dangerous weather conditions. Families and people of all ages enjoyed a fun-filled and healthy day out, while raising money for the survivors of the devestating earthquake.

If anyone has sponsorship cards or monies raised for the Walk, they should return them now to any member of the Ballintubber GOAL Walk committee, or direct to GOAL West of Ireland, Office 12, Westside Resource Centre, Seamus Quirke Road, Galway.

The final figure raised for the 2009 walk will be revealed soon. The event has generated in excess of €368,000 for GOAL's work in the Developing World over the years.
